This time, it will be different...
Announcing The 2000

Sunday July 30th @ Jolly Roger, NH
What is it: Last year we rented a track, picked a date, and held a fun little moto event for our friends. We drank, partied, and raced (not necessarily in that order). We had a blast and learned a lot. But this year we are going to kick your ass! Because now (we think) we know what we are doing - even more than last year. So get ready!
Here's the deal: Our event is all about track time and having FUN! We want to ride more. So we decided to do a Supercross format this year, that's right - Heat races, Semis, LCQ's and then the Big Main! Hey, the better you are the faster you get into the Main (were the cash and prizes are), the more you suck, the more you get to ride. That is the way it should be right? Don't worry, if you don't make the main we still do a pretty sick raffle.
OK, here is the deal. Since so many of you are asking I will tell you the story. You know how you go to every other race, take your practice and then sit around waiting for your class, then you race and sit around waiting all afternoon for your second moto? Well that's cool, but we wanted to do something a little different. By doing the Supercross format, hence not having any distinct classes (meaning no novice, amateur or expert) we allow for more actual "riding time". Don't sweat being in the gate with riders who are better or worse than you, after the first turn everybody spaces out anyway... This way, the fastest riders go to the main quicker and can rest up for the big race, and the slower riders (that's us) will get more racing/track time - get it? And to be honest we had a few sandbaggers last year who raced well below their ability level just so they could win (which is lame) so the Supercross format eliminates that option. So don't sweat the no class thing, this race is all for fun anyway. No sponsor is going to look at this event and say - "Hey, you didn't Win the Stimilon Race - you're off the team!" Trust me! Just plan on coming down, riding a ton, and having a good time - that is what our event is all about! Got it?

Just Like Last Year... We got The best track in New England - Jolly Roger - to hold the event. And Just like last year, it is going to be Christmas in July as we give out all the sh!t we have stashed over the season. Snowboards, Skateboards, Lift tickets, Goggles, Motogear, Bike Accessories, Oils, Lube, CD's and a ton of other cool stuff (if there is anything else left). If you were there last year, then you know, if you weren't then you have probably heard about it. And Just like last year, there will be CASH, BABY!!! The only way Stimilon flies.
New this Year: This year we even have a Holeshot Sponsor - laassports.com - these guys have a sick site and cover all the action sports. They know what's up because they actually ride. They even have there own team, so if you practice really, really hard maybe they will pick you up with a big contract. This year's holeshot winners (of each and every gate drop) will have their photos posted on laassports.com and the main event (125 and 250) holeshot winners will also receive a cash prize ($100) and some special goodies from laassports.com so check out there site when you are finished here...
The Format: Everyone will of course get practice time. Last year we had three sets of Practices for each class, this year we will see what time allows. But we are hyped on plenty of practice time so you can get to know the track and you don't kill yourself. We will start off with the Heat races, then Semi's, and if you still aren't good enough you will get a shot in the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier). Then of course comes the big show - The Main Event. This is the race for the dough.
There will be 80cc, 125cc and 250cc classes. The 80cc Division will race an outdoor format of 2 motos with combined totals for the overall, while the 125 and 250 classes will duke it out in the Supercross format. The Supercross format will assure the fastest racers go to the main, while the rest of us sandbaggers get plenty of track time.
The Purse: Ok, so everybody is bugging me, "what is the payout?" well here it is>>> We will pay out $250 for first, $150 for second and $100 for third in BOTH the 250 and 125 Main Events. PLUS - we will award the laassports.com holeshot award to the 125 and 250 holeshot winner in the Main - an extra $100 each - BAM! So if my math is correct that's $1200 out of my pocket, so you better hurry up and sign up. We have a limited entry to insure everybody gets plenty of riding time, once we get 200 entrants that's it - we're closed out. We limit the entry so that we ensure a quality day for all those who sign up.
History: This event is not about points, trophies, or championships, it really isn't even about the prizes. It is about getting out on one of the sickest tracks around, tossing it with your friends and having a blast - No Pressure! Whether you are a seasoned veteran racer, or you have always wanted to get into it, you will have a great time. Last year we over 40% of our entrants had never been in the gate before, meaning that they had never raced before - so you have NO excuse. Oh yeah, the party the night before is legendary. Don't bring Mom, unless she's cool. This year we will have none other than The Infamous DJ Niceness spinning for our event! We are stoked!!!
