Rules

1. Games will be three (15) minute stop time game of play.
2. All players must wear helmets, gloves, shin guards and hockey skates. Additional protective equipment is optional but highly recommended.
3. Games will have two referees and one time keeper/score taker.
4. All teams must have light and dark jerseys or uniforms.
5. Warm ups will be no more than three minutes prior to each game - if you need more time, stretch in the locker room.
6. Penalties will be called for rule infractions. Penalties called by rink officials are final.
7. Any major penalty, which includes any action that could possibly injure another player, will result in that player being ejected from the tournament. Rink official will determine major penalties. In other words, make sure you don’t invite morons to play for your team.
8. Abuse of rink officials will be considered a major penalty. This includes yelling, swearing, or arguing about calls.
9. This is a non checking tournament, however, it isn't tennis either. You guys play, play hard, but play smart. We all have to go to work Monday.
10. Games on Saturday and Sunday can end in a tie. However if championship game ends in a tie, the play will move to sudden death format.
11. Players can only play on one team.
12. All players must visibly display their credentials during the tournament. Players without credentials are not allowed to play.
13. For every minute a team is late they will be penalized a goal. If a team fails to show up for a game they will forfeit the game with the final score of 15-0
14. Basically, you all play and know how to play. So have fun, use your head, and we can do this every year!

We reserve the right to alter, change, or modify these rules leading into the tournament as we see fit. Rules will be set by tournament time.

Terms

1. Team entries can pay a $600 Deposit (half payment) or Pay in Full ($1100) to being considered for entry into the tournament. (Pony up boys – simple!)
2. All teams must have one captain who will serve as team representative in all coin tosses, decisions, and discussions. Only the captain may approach the officials on behalf of the team. This is purely from an organizational point of view (to prevent mob mentality and to keep order)
2. All players must wear helmets at all times while on the ice. Helmets must be strapped on for liability reasons. (Thank your lawyer)
3. A player will only be allowed to play for one team in the tournament. (If you still have energy after skating for your team, you didn’t party hard enough the night before)
4. All participants must show photo ID (proof of age) upon registration. (Just like the bar, everyone wants to get in)
5. Players will be required to sign all waivers and have them notarized by registration. (See that lawyer thing above)
6. All players must be at least 21 years old. Any player in violation of the minimum age requirement for the age divisions ( 35 ) will forfeit their place in the tournament. Any team playing with underage or unregistered player(s) will be disqualified from the tournament and will not receive a refund. NO EXCEPTIONS. (Respect your elders, for they are old…)
7. Stimilon reserves the right to prohibit any player or team from participating if they are deemed unsafe, uncooperative, or unruly. (Don’t be a goon)
8. Stimilon reserves the right to change the rules at any time. Stimilon will serve as the governing body for this tournament and will be the final word on all decisions. All teams will be informed of changes prior to the start of the tournament. (This is a dictatorship, not a democracy)
9. If you want to have a fun weekend of playing hockey and partying with friends, we welcome you. If you think this is a NHL tryout, guess again. Please respect the rink, town and local businesses so that we can all be invited back for years to come!

Thank you
