Here are the second round of photos from the Stimilon/Red Bull Party Friday night. Known as "Mulletica 09" a celebration of 80s metal and all that was mullet worthy, this Southwick National Pre Party was the talk of the pits the following day. Those that went releved the dream and those that missed out wished they had not. SImply put - how can you go wrong when everyone dresses like an 80's freak, you have an 80's metal cover band playing in a hotel lobby (and a nice one!), hot chicks, Red Bull and ample supply of Colt 45 - good times! Watch for more photos and a video of the nights magic - soon to come...

Stimilon and Red Bull held a party the Friday Night before the National at Southwick and it was a riot!. Everyone dressed up in 80's wear because Kobra Kai (the 80's metal cover band that played the Stimilon Motocross Challenge back in June was playing the party too). Kobra played right int he hotel lobby and it was a sight to be seen. These are just the photos from the Photo booth - see how many industry guys you recognize...

Welcome to the 2009 Stimilon Motocross Challenge held 6/20/09 at the Legendary MX 338 in Southwick, MA. The 2009 event was a huge success - read on to see and hear more...

Well its all done and it looks like most survived the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Stimilon Motocross Challenge at MX 338, Southwick, MA. We want to thank Ralph and Diane and the entire Southwick Crew for all their hard work, dedication and tolerance of our event.

We had an amazing weekend with Sun on Friday and the rain held off until the end of the day Saturday. We had three bands rock the night Saturday night - Blastoma, Shadows Fall, and Kobra Kai. They played until midnight whn the cops finally came for the third time and shut us down at which time the party just moved back to the pits and raged on through the night.

The racing was second to none as we had several full gates including 36 "Never Evers" who no doubt have a completely different perspective of racing and will hopefully continue for many more years. John Dowd Swept both the 250 and 450 Mains getting the big checks, trophy Rossignol Snowboards and the lions share of the $5000 purse, Jimmy Decotis went 2-2 with Robbie Marshall and Tony Lorusso rounding out the podiums int he 250 and 450 mains respectively.

All in all - the shenanigans were at an all time high as the Bel Ray/CAT/Dirt Rider/Yamaha/Burton Snowboards/Fox crew (did I leave anyone out of that camp) lead the party from start to finish.

Big thanks to Sports Illustrated, Red Bull, Renegade MX, Great Brook Farms, Carter Olcott, Geico, Bell helmets, Matt Francis Photos and Sponsorhouse.com for helping to make this and event for the ages. Thanks to Vitamin Water, Smart Water, Red Bull, Carter Olcott, Red Bull Cola and COLT 45 for keeping us hydrated, energized and feeling no pain - not necessarily in that order... And thanks to the industry support of Factory Connection, Whoop De Que, Tucker Rocky, Twin Air, Bel Ray, Troy Lee Designs, 2feetsouth, Motowear USA, Rossignol Snowboards, Carter Olcott, Easton, Arai, Renaissance Clothing, Smart Water, Vitamin Water, Buckchillyradio.com, Mike Carnelli from FC, Treelinecycles.com, Thrust Music, DB Studios, Jordan O'connor-Katz, Pro Taper, Skorbordz, Yeah Management, Shadows Fall, Blastoma, Carter Olcott, Kobra Kai, Answer, MSR, Works Connection, Ogio, FMF, SevenFour Designs, K Rae Graphics, Scott USA, Heal Clothing, Smith, HRP Sports, CTMX, Fox, Yamaha, Loop'd, Stimilon Staff and crew, and of course MX 338, Southwick, MA - without all of you this could not have happened!!! Remember when motocross racing was fun, no I mean really fun? No pressure, no championships, no sponsors… Just showing up to the track with your buddies, banging bars all day and then kicking back over a frosty, telling stories. Well, it can happen again.

The Stimilon Motocross Challenge was a different kind of race held between 1999-2002, mostly because we didn't know what we were doing (no seriously). If you were there, then you know. If you heard the rumors, then you think you know. If you have no idea what we are talking about then why are you even here…

"This is Not Your Children's Motocross Race!" That was the marketing slogan 7 years ago and it remains true today. Don't read into it too much - it's not what you think. Simply put, we wanted to run a race for the adults, to let Dad (and Mom) be the star for one race. We don't offer kids classes because EVERY weekend is for the kids - this is for the older "kids".

The goal of the event was (and still is) to provide a fun day of racing complete with prizes, cash, and babes (BYOBabe), have a killer party that night and then (for those who survived) to ride the track again during an invited practice all day the next day. Because of this, entries were always limited to insure plenty of quality track time for those who came out to play. This event was never about mass entries, money grubbing corporations or your lawyer - it was about remembering why we love this sport in the first place - because we all love to ride!

The format will be similar to year's past; Saturday Race, Saturday night BBQ, Party, Shenanigans, etc and a Special Sunday Open Practice (Limited to first 200 racers - must race Saturday to participate). There will be a decent CASH Purse for the Main Events (both 250 and 450) and of course we will have our usual surprises that we will never even tell you about but you will love (cause we're like that…)

Details will be posted shortly but for now we are just trying to see if there really is a need to "bring back the dead…" For years all we have heard is "when are you bringing it back?" Well, here is your chance to live the dream, one more time… So now we are asking you - if we bring this back, will you come play?

Entry into the event will cost you $70 for the first class, $60 for the second and just $25 for your 3rd and 4th classes - that includes racing, the "privilege" of being at the party, and a chance to purchase a pass to the Private Ride Day the next day. Private Ride Day Passes (Limit 200) will be $40 per rider and will ONLY be sold to those entering the race, one per racer. If you think this is expensive you probably should have pre registered... But believe us we could have charged more (it was $90 just to race with us seven years ago)

If you are interested in being part of history then we encourage you to sign up now. Entry will be limited to the first 500 (chances are that classes will be capped at 40) so we will be creating a wait list based on a first come first serve basis. We can not emphasis this enough - if you want in, get off your tail now. We even went thru the hassle of signing up for Pay Pal so your lazy asses could just hit a button. Done!
