Main Events

The main events are a bonus race at the end of the day. This is where the best racers get an extra race and this is the money race. When the gate drops everyone will have an equal shot at the dough.

Each race will be a minimum of 15 minutes (more if time allows) - so you will all get your money's worth for your riding. If you qualify for both mains that is a minimum 15 minutes extra each. More details to follow.

Who qualifies for the main?

This is the breakdown we have slated now. Everything here is subject to change due to the economy, the weather or even our moods. So just like all our events, we have the best of intentions but shit happens. So just know that we are trying to put an event together that you will be stoked on.

No Never Evers, 85s or Vet C riders will qualify for the Mains (like you guys will even be able to hold your beer (soda) that night anyway - come on!) The idea is more Experts (Rock Stars) than Amateurs (Wanna Bes) will qualify, more Amateur than Novice (Hacks). We also have age class qualifiers too - so it is an incentive for you to race a 3rd or 4th class if you want.

Quick explanation

To explain briefly how this will work - if you are racing the 30AB on a 250 and you get 6th place, but you are the one of the first three 250s then you are going to the main. If you qualify for the main in the Rock Star class and a vet class, we will always take the 250/450 class placement first - allowing more chances for vet riders. So again if you got 5th in the 35 open class, but the other 4 guys all qualified through the 450 Rock Star class - you are going to the main as the first eligible racer in the 35 class. Don't hurt yourself thinking about this - it is set up to make sure all the fast guys get in the main. So if you aren't fast and still make the main you should feel stoked because that is pretty cool, even if you don't win any cash.

Payout

So speaking of cash - here is the proposed purse for this event - $5000. The payout is as follows:

250450
1st$1000$1000
2nd$500$500
3rd$250$250
4th$125$125
5th$125$125
6th$100$100
7th$100$100
8th$75$75
9th$75$75
10th$50$50
HS$100$100
$2500$2500
Total$5000

If you make the main you have a better than 1 in 4 chance of getting paid. AND, that's a possible total payout of $2200 for someone who holeshots and sweeps both mains - Tony has done it (twice). So start training there kiddies…
